Vanessa had highlights that didnt start at the roots, and they are noticable, but they arent like overbearing -- would that color look good on me? Or should I go lighter/ darker/ redder? I know red looks good too, or should I do multiple tones of highlights (2-3) ? I basically have the same hair as Vanessa.

thats the french style of highlighting. its called painting or something like that. it looks more natural, like it lightened in the sun and then grew out some...
and i think it would look lovely on you, and you are cute!

i'm not sure if i even like those highlights on vanessa, they kinda look like you highlighted and then they grew out. I think golden highlights would look good on you but do just a few and go all the way up to the roots. Hope I helped, because you def helped on my question:)
