What hairstyling product do i use to achieve this messy, Beckham look?

My hair will be about the same length on top but probably more shaved on the side (number 3 or 4). What product should i use to get this look? (exact product recommendations?)

I like "Sporting Waves"

It's a waxy pomade, but it smells decent, which most of them don't.

Just put one finger in and scoop out a little, then get it on all your fingertips and randomly pull at the top of your hair.

Don't fill your hair full of this goop. it's not necessary.

Make sure not to mess it up too neatly!!!

spiking glue -- it looks like paste. you should get your hair textured to help it stay in chunks like that.

Some products and brands are better than others but it really depends on the cut, color and texture of your hair. Hair always looks better and is easier to style after a day of not washing it (I know--gross). Get some layers and highlights to emphasize your hairstyle. Try either a hair gel, gum, wax or mousse and try using them on wet and dry hair to see which works better for you. The trick is to experiment with a lot of products to find out what works. Bedhead and Tigi are okay. You can apply the product, 'scrunch' with your fingers and blowdry to hold the style in place.
