Am I a lady?

When I interact with people I am kind and polite to them, even if I have to "fake it 'til I feel it". (Ok I'm a bit of a b*tch on the internet but that's how I vent my anger hehe). I like wearing feminine clothes when I can- I love 40s/50s type stuff like blouses, skirts, and dresses. But if I'm too cold, then I'll just throw on a baggy college sweatshirt, because that's the only way I can keep warm. I also can't wear nice clothes when I'm doing stuff like hiking and fishing. I'm nice to people and I like girly clothes and hair, but other than that, I'm pretty much a tom. I love the outdoors and I don't bother with my nails. I like to have a sense of humor just like the guys, I mean, I don't like bathroom/sex jokes but I still like random stupid humor. And if I make a smarta*s comment, it's just a joke and it's never mean spirited (unless it's about a celebrity or something). I閳ユ獡 nice to people and I don閳ユ獩 wear jeans with my crack hanging out, isn閳ユ獩 that enough? I don閳ユ獩 think it閳ユ獨 fair that I should have to give up fishing, do my nails, be an airhead and have no sense of humor to be considered unladylike. I閳ユ獡 just asking this because I閳ユ獡 curious to hear different people閳ユ獨 opinions of what a 閳ユ笓ady閳?is.

Am I a lady?

A lady is defined by her behavior, not her dress. I think that your description is one of a real lady.

Am I a lady?

YOUR A LADY!

Am I a lady?

I would say that you are a woman that is just trying to enjoy life and you are not trying to fit an image that doesn't suit you. Nothing wrong with that! I would think most would respect a real woman than a fake lady....at least I hope so, because that is what I try to be...ME!

Am I a lady?

Look, as far as I'm concerned, if you have female genitalia, then you're a lady.

Am I a lady?

You sound pretty down-to-earth to me, and somewhat intelligent... So I have an idea for you... Forget about whatever stereotype that our society has deemed a "Lady", and be comfortable pushing the envelope in your own direction... It's usually your most attractive feature in the long run.

Am I a lady?

I don't hear a problem! A lady, to me, is one who has class. If you aren't burping, scratching, and farting, you're just about there!

Am I a lady?

If you have to ask, then, "No".

Am I a lady?

A lady is a woman who goes out of her way to make others feel comfortable.

Am I a lady?

Being a lady isn't about the clothes you wear first off.

Being a lady is minding your p's and q's in public. Its being educated and well rounded. Its knowing how to graciously respond to any snood, snippy remark. And how to control your temper at all times (even on the internet).

I am a lady and I go fishing, and hiking. Sometimes I even go deer hunting. It depends. Being a lady is a mental state of mind. And I don't wear make up at all! Except for in family pictures taken professionally.

My thought to make up is.. If they can not except the real me, who I am on the inside as well as out, why bother. There are more important things in life then to worry about perfect makeup!

I hope this helps and have a wonderful day!

Am I a lady?

I asked my boyfriend the other day.

What makes me different from other women.

I was told because i am a lady. (very sweet of him to say).

I dont do my nails or wear makeup, unless forced to do so when going out. I like being natural and me.

I speak my mind but at the same time hold respect for others around me.

It comes down to how you hold yourself, but on that note you dont have to be a snob.

Be you, Treat others how you want to be treated. Dont let others treat you how you wouldnt treat yourself.

Laugh at yourself and let others laugh with you.

Its ok to get dirty (roll in the mud) it all comes down to how you act.

You can still have fun and be a lady too.

Just my thoughts.

Blessings ALD

Don't let what other peoples narrow minded views on what is and isn't a propery lady bother you too much. I too like most things that are considered masculine for example power tools, working on cars, and even potty humor. It has even been said on occasion that I have a mouth like a trucker and have a bigger set then most men. However, I clean up very nice and enjoy many things about being a girl. I love dressing very girly when the occasion calls for it. I love doing my hair and make up but not every day. To look at me even in jeans and a baggy sweatshirt I am all female, I would rather be comfortable and enjoying what I like than trying to be someone else's perception of my gender. The cool thing is my husband thinks it's great that I can fix a broken chair, hang sheet rock and still be a girl when I want

Am I a lady?

I agree that it's your behavior that primarily defines whether you would be considered a lady or not. Certainly not whether you wear makeup.

However, you say, "I don't bother with my nails." Does that mean you don't really care about grooming them? I don't mean polishing, but grooming.

What about your everyday grooming otherwise?

Ladies are usually concerned that they are at least reasonably well groomed when they go out, regardless of the occasion. Just a thought.

Am I a lady?

Who cares?????? Why do you think people care about all this information about you???? Your nails, sweatshirt, 40's/50's look, blah, blah, blah ...... YAWN!!!!!!!

Am I a lady?

Have you ever watched a television series from the 50's or read a book about a woman that lived during the early 1900's?

Those women all fished and didn't exactly "keep up their nails" so to speak..... It's all about how you portray yourself. When you're at a dinner table, and being nice, do you let out a gutsy belch or do you hold your napkin up to your mouth to silently, and unnoticeably let out the foreign air? Do you guffaw or do you simply laugh when a joke is told? Do you sit with your legs splayed or with them together?

Being a lady doesn't necessarily mean being airheaded either. Look at Meryl Streep, Jackie O (who is revered to be one of the most famous Ladies in history), Audrey Hepburn, even Marilyn Monroe.... Being a smart lady is even more classier than being an airhead!

Am I a lady?

Rules of Being A Lady:

Never sit with your knees apart, always crossed at the ankle.

Never talk with food in your mouth.

Never burp or fart in public.

Never int erupt or voice your opp ion too loudly, in mixed company.Use the right fork at the table. Sit up with your shoulders back and your back firm.

Know ya wanted to know what a LADY is, but what is a true female?

All of these and just being yourself .

Different places call for different actions.

Try to see where you are and act accordingly.
